Weddingbee Valentine's Exchange
Miniature Cookie Jars with Chocolate and Peanut Butter Chip Cookie Mix!

I got the recipe from a google search.  Since my cookie jars were miniature sized (inspired by Martha Stewart and purchased from the Container Store), I divided the recipe by 3 for each jar.  I know that makes the practicality of it all moot, so I didn't include the instructions/recipe as directed.  The ingredients are more just for aesthetic appeal.  :)

I attached labels that say "Something Sweet for Someone Sweet" which I printed on my computer in different fonts on vellum paper and backed it with pink specialty paper from Paper Source which matched the ribbon and DIY card.

I made the mini cards with Paper Source's Indian Print Paper and Flat Cards (Curry) (cut down to size) and enclosed them in  a Baby Envelope (Stardream Mars).  I finished it all off by rubber stamping each recipients name on the front, and a valentine's wish inside with rubber stamps from Michaels.

I had so much fun doing these!  I've been trying to find an excuse for doing something with these little mini cookie jars since I last posted about them many moons ago (sorry it's been so long since I've last posted, my new job is kicking my butt)!  Thanks Weddingbee for giving me the excuse!  They're definitely not as cool as Miss Penguin's (I am now on a mission to secure me a Gocco) but...

I hope my Valentines like them!

*edit * I got my first valentine today and it is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute!

*edit again!* I got another one and they just get better and better!!!  thanks valentines!!!

Labels and Seals... Oh My!

So I'm obsessed...with stationary... rubber stamps... and now labels and seals!  I've been ordering paper samples from paperandmore (I LOVE them!  Best customer service EVER!) and can't stop making mock up invitations.  Invitations for what?!?  For nothing really... someone around me just needs to get married already so I can make some REAL budget friendly invites... haha!!

One of my more recent "play" designs included a simple linen cardstock folder sealed with... hmmm... with what was my dilemma?  Because I am budget minded and somewhat anal, I figured that although I like the look of a wax seal, it ends up looking too... uhh... clumpy as a final product when placed in it's envelopement.

So I went on a quest for personalized seals/labels... whereas I found MyWeddingLabels.com.  They have a really great variety of label choices as well as other ideas and types of packaging for all of your wedding needs.  I am particularly excited about one design which I would one day like to incorporate for my future wedding.

I've never ordered from them before so I can't remark on the quality of the final product or their customer service.  Has anyone else had any experience with them?  Do you have other websites/vendors that you would recommend to make personalized seals/labels?  What is the average price that you've spent per seal/label?

Paper Source...

Why must you taunt me?!?  I have absolutely no use for you.  But you are so pretty.

Oh well.  If it ain't designer shoes, it might as well be wasted on rubber stamps!  I just hit the send button on these little beauties!  I've ordered rubber stamps from them before and love them!

Sibby's Cupcakery

ok, I lied, I have a little time today so I had to post about Sibby's Cupcakery.  Our office holiday party is well known for mini cupcakes.  Last year we got Delessios (see previous post) which were as cute as can be, but weren't as tasty as they looked.  This year, we went with Sibby's, and although they weren't as extravagent looking as Delessios, they were still super cute, and mighty delicious!  I'm craving the buttercup cupcake as we speak!

The menu is mouthwatering!

Sibby was very easy to work with and was one of the easiest vendors I've ever had to deal with.  If you decide to have cupcakes in lieu of a wedding cake, and are in the SF bay area, I would definitely recommend that you check her site out.
